Uh-huh. I have a bit of scientific curiosity myself. Listen, how do they keep your boxes clean? Like, with an aquarium vacuum, or what?

Max to the Uber-Director, The Final Warning

Screen Shot 2015-09-07 at 9.37

The Uber-Director, also known as the UD, is the main villain of The Final Warning. He was assisted by a bodyguard named Gozen.

He captures the Flock and puts them up for auction, much as Itex attempted with them before. During the auction, a Category 5 hurricane rips through, and he is swept away by the storm. When he encounters Max in the hurricane, she kicks him and sends him back into the storm. All of the boxes containing his organs disconnect and are strewn around by the hurricane. He is presumed deceased.

Personality[]

Although frequently emotionless, he could sigh, smile, and frown, and was also shown to blush when angered. Like Gozen's voice, his voice sounded human but with slightly odd inflections, as well as a detectable mechanical quality.

Appearance[]

The Uber-Director consists of a human head attached by means of an artificial spinal column to a series of clear Plexiglas boxes containing organs suspended in liquid. His organs were connected to hoses and pumps. The boxes were stacked in a small motorized chair. Max compared him to a Habitrail.

Only 23% of his being required oxygen from the outside world in order to function, but he thinks about the air filters that are in his secret lair and finds stale air unpleasant.

Abilities[]

The Uber-Director can signal to the nanoprocessors implanted in his brain by thought.

He showed the ability to vaporize his team leaders and troops. When he used this ability it was accompanied by a crackling, sparkling fizzle. They were vaporized so completely that nothing was left behind but the odor of charred flesh and machine oil.

Residence[]

The Uber-Director spends most of his time in some hidden caves, filled with abandoned antiques. He also uses an office building in Miami, where he imprisons the Flock for his auction.

Trivia[]

  • The Uber-Director is similar to the School experiments which Max nicknamed "Brain on a Stick," also consisting of organs in Plexiglass boxes, controlling robot bodies.
  • Max nicknamed him BoxBoy.
