In Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports, Max, Nudge, Angel, Total, and Ari, while being held captive at Itexicon's headquarters in Germany, were forced to witness a showcasing of the villainous organization's genetic achievements.

Government representatives from all over the world were present. The showcase was interrupted by the Flock's rebellion.

Max was disturbed by the contents of the showcase and said she would not describe the "scariest things" that she saw, and that there was "stuff that would fuel the world's nightmares for the next five hundred years." She did say that if the scientists had been working for good, hunger and illness would already be eliminated, and pollution and the economy would no longer be problems.

Mutants[]

  • A man with a detachable arm, made of biogenetic matrix and titanium cell-laced bone. It was attached to him by an electronic interface similar to an iPod data port. Because of the enhancements, the arm's stress resistance was increased by four hundred percent.
  • Mara: a woman with Panthera pardus (leopard) DNA grafted into her human genes; the splice caused her to acquire feline fangs, incredible leaping abilities, and leopard spots trailing down her spine.
  • Two people with the ability to mentally control their skin color, including turning functionally invisible.
  • People with the ability to increase their height by a maximum of four inches at will.
  • GatorGuys: mutants with hard, scaly, and bulletproof skin.
  • A woman who could scream at pitches too high for humans to hear, but that had Total writhing around in agony. Her voice could also break glass and shatter metal.
  • Omega, a superhuman teen meant to be the perfect human being, and Itex's magnum opus

Weapons[]

  • Autopiloted nanobullets: glittery copper-colored objects controlled by remote control. In a demonstration, they targeted and shredded hundreds of butterflies.
